My lil’ turkey burger is making me sad………..

She’s not feeling well at all.  She had a 100 degree temp last night and only slept about 2.5 hours.  She’s got a stuffy and runny nose and a little cough.  Nothing’s going around at her daycare so I’m wondering what it could be.  She just wouldn’t go down last night- not happy unless we were holding her.  Broke my heart.  We’re going to the Dr. at 9:30.

Also, she’s been doing this thing where she grabs your face with her hands and kinda pinches and scratches you- it HURTS!  And, she’s so FAST, she gets a hold of you before you even realize what’s going on.  It started on Tuesday night- I came home from the dentist and my face was all droopy on one side (from the 5 damn shots of Novocain they gave me-ARGH)- well, she knew something was not right and she didn’t like it so she kinda attacked the droopy side of my face!  The next night, she was still doing it and even did it to Craig.  Last night, she started to try to do it again while Craig was holding her so we both pulled her hand away and very sternly told her not to do that.  She just broke down crying- it was soooo sad!  She could totally sense our disapproval and it really really upset her!  Broke my heart!  It’s so amazing that she can sense that sort of thing at such a young age.

Parenting is going to be so hard!  I’m going to be such a pushover!  I hate to see her upset!!!!!

Boo Hoo Hoo……..  Get well soon, my lil Luci Goosie!  And, no more pinching/scratching- you’re stronger than you realize!!

Update:  Turns out Luci has a viral infection.  The Dr. thought it might be a bladder infection when all the lung/chest/ear tests came out normal (and given my hx with kidney/bladder issues).  So, it was good news that it’s not.  However, she is contagious!  Dr. said just watch the temp all weekend and call if it gets above 102.  This is scary!  I hate my baby having a fever.  She still will not go down and will not eat.  Boo hoo hoo….. She’s slept 4 hours in the last 24!!!
