We are doing okay. B has an exhausting work schedule at the moment so our summer has been slightly stressful so we are literally counting down the days until September. By being a strong and successful career woman, you're setting a great example for Luci. That being said, I went through the same thing -- I got so tired of traveling and being away from Izzy for days at a time. My solution, which may not work for everyone, was to "downsize." I took a pay cut and took a job with decreased responsibilities (but one I still absolutely love) in exchange for regular work hours and no travel. For what it's worth, I think it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I can relax at the end of the day and don't need to spend all night working. I think there may be a recruiter job coming open here within the next few months. It's a pretty hectic job, but there is virtually no travel and you'd get to keep semi-regular hours.
